Dear Friends:
Well, we had to cancel chemo for a few weeks because of a bloody nose! I had done two of the eight called for when the trouble started. ‘Had to see am ENT doctor who was very good. I guess now that that problem has simmered down we will return soon to the six remaining chemos. One every other week. ‘Had a PET scan last week and that was great, so things seem to be moving along. The surgery is healing, but still some discomforts there, as well. What a time this is. Nothing like it and hard to explain, but I know many of you realize what it is like. So, I am hoping that I will be completely through with treatment sometime in May, if the Fates allow!
We, like many others, have been treated to much rain and the lights went out recently one night. I was so glad I had a new fangled Coleman lamp in the garage that I bought a couple of years ago.
Today has been beautiful and I did get a good walk in, but we are being threatened with more rain tomorrow.
‘So many exciting films and TV projects are up for grand awards. I wish the best to all. I have seen not too many of the films so I don’t consider myself capable to vote this year. I have not been able to go amidst large crowds. They even wanted me out of the hospital as fast as possible because of the many “bugs” these days that are lurking there. I have a friend in the Desert who volunteers in a hospital down there and he picked up a real “stinker” bug. He’s on antibiotics now.
My goodness, isn’t this a cheerful letter? All is well really, and usually the turn of events that we may not think are too great, on retrospection were just as they should have been. All the fretting was really wasted energy. Did I hear the word “HUMAN?
God bless, and have a great month.
