Hi Dear Friends:

I am so delighted that Jane will be visiting me for two days this month! She will fly down from Seattle where she and Rob and Brian will be visiting Rob’s family.

I’m a bit behind on answering my mail so I hope you will please be patient as I do all the fan mail work myself. In the old days, the studios used to do it all and then my Mom for many years when she was alive, bless her heart.

We are Santa Barbara gray right now and ready for some sunshine, thank you! Chilly, damp and very much the winter scene. Brrrrrrrrr! Of course I can’t really complain when I think of Jane and Rob and Brian in Minot North Dakota at the Air Force base. However, they are making the best of it, and I am glad Rob has done his time in Iraq! Brian, now six, is taking Karate, and playing soccer and studying Japanese. Wow! Seems yesterday I was writing about his birth! I still keep a small rocking chair that I painted as a gift for him a few years ago. I think he may get one more visit’s worth out of it! I have kept a few phone calls received from him over the years on my machine, and I get a kick out of the changes in vocal tone, vocabulary and expression as the time has gone by!

Whoops! There’s the sun! I’m going to see about a sun bath on my bedroom porch!
