Hi Dear Friends:

Here we go with the new political campaign scene unfolding over the next few months. Gosh, how I wish we had some really strong and competent (‘guess that’s the same thing) diplomats hopping all over the globe with our country’s blessings. A friend of mine just got back recently from Iran and said that the people there love Americans, but hate Mr. Bush and their own government. Wow, when you stop to think that really all most folks want all over the world is peace, food, shelter and a sense of purpose of some sort. It is too bad that so many have little of any of the above and feel their purpose must be to kill in the name of “you name it.” Our planet’s wisest minds seem disregarded. I pray for peace for all. Old habits seem to die hard.

On a lighter note, there is a warming in the air and the sun sparkles here over the mountains. I talked to Jane yesterday and it was twenty degrees there! Brian is starting in a little kids’ soccer team, and reading on his own now. Most exciting. I know I will be so amazed when I next see him!

I have been reading a book a friend of mine gave me for Christmas. It has so much wisdom. It is Dr. Wayne Dyer’s  “10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace.” It’s a New York Times best seller. Chock full of good stuff. I find it is a constant work to keep healing thoughts afloat! This book helps to address our better self and give us good food for thought and action. Here’s a snippet from his book;

Changing What’s Inside

“Consider the following concept of your inner reality. Your thoughts create your reality because your thoughts determine how you respond to situations in your daily life. Those responses are the energy you have inside of you to give away.

If you feel anger, it’s because you have anger energy in your body. Like everything in our universe, your thoughts are a form of energy. Everything that you feel and experience is the result of what I call “attractor energies.” This means that you get back what you put out into the world. Thus, what you’ve attracted to you is what you have to give away. Low energy attracts low energy. Some of the low energy thoughts are anger, hate, shame, guilt, and fear. Not only do they weaken you, but they attract more of the same! By changing your inner thoughts to the higher frequencies of love, harmony, kindness, peace, and joy, you’ll attract more of the same, and you’ll have those higher energies to give away. These higher and faster frequencies that empower you will automatically nullify and dissipate the lower energies in the same way that the presence of light makes darkness disappear.”

Good stuff, isn’t it?

Speaking of Love and all the good things, I wish you all a delightful Valentine’s Day. There is much to love, isn’t there?
